I did a lot of research to find the best doctor, for the type of surgery my daughter needed. After the initial consultation with Dr. Wang, we knew he was the right doctor.
She had problems breathing and a lot of bloody noses as a young child. She had to wait until she turned 18, for Septoplasty Surgery.
Dr. Wang and his team did an incredible job. I can't say enough positive things about Dr. Wang. Not only is he very skilled and professional but, he is very personable and does care about his patients.

Dr. Wang was fantastic. He worked on my nose after a Mohs procedure, and within a week the scar was healing really well. Now, a few months out, it's barely noticeable. And besides that, he's a really nice guy.

Dr. Wang has been exceptional as a doctor and surgeon over the course of my visits and procedures. He is extremely skilled in what he does, and he was always eager to help remedy any concerns or answer questions about steps, processes, and procedures.

Dr Wang is truly a physician's physician. Any physician who spent time as his patient would know very quickly that he is an expert. James Wang MD PhD is friendly, kind, down to earth, and knowledgeable. He performs his work very carefully.

I had two facial feminization surgeries last year done by Dr Wang at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, in May and again in December, and I can't thank Dr Wang enough for what, and all he has done for me!
Dr Wang went through 2 peer to peer calls with another doctor to try and get my surgeries approved after they were wrongfully denied, he has taken the time for every visit that I had with him to express my concerns and to answer my questions and not once did I ever feel rushed by him. He has always been very honest with me and not once did he ever suggest that I get a procedure done that he didn't think that I needed. I also want to give thanks to all of his his team...Dr Brennan, Mary, Alanna and I know that I am missing others but I appreciate every one of them for everything that they have done for me.

Dr. Wang is not only a highly skilled surgeon but a caring and compassionate person. He took on my case very last minute after another surgeon dropped me at the 11th hour. After extensive Mohs surgery left me with an extremely large wound in the center of my forehead; I was afraid of being left terribly disfigured and/or needing extensive multiple procedures to correct the defect. Dr. Wang expertly closed the wound. It healed so much better than I could have hoped for and after one year it is almost unnoticeable. I highly recommend Dr. Wang and will always be grateful for the excellent care he gave me.

Dr. Wang did closure surgery on me after a particularly delicate Mohs surgery on my nose. He was thorough in explaining my options and his recommendations. When we thought the skin graft hadn't taken, he was so kind and empathic, and suggested a non-invasive alternative treatment. It worked! His kindness, generosity, upbeat and positive personality made this whole experience tolerable, and hopeful! His skill as a surgeon, his willingness to spend time with me to listen and to explain things - in each appointment - along with his caring and warm personality gets him a 5 star review from me! Dr. Wang repaired a MOHS incision on my lower eyelid. It was thrilling to see him suture the incision while I was fully awake (but beatifically numbed) and my eyes wide open. The result is amazing, my eyesight is completely normal, and the healing is moving along beautifully. Dr. Wang is friendly and supportive. The nurses are great too.

I had a revision rhinoplasty done by Dr. Wang and I'm THRILLED with my results!!! Dr. Wang’s skill and expertise were evident throughout the entire process. My prior surgeon took so much tissue that my nose looked fake and worse, it started collapsing in on itself making it difficult to breathe. Dr Wang has done plastic surgery on my nose twice following mohs procedures. The first time I met Dr Wang it was a random assignment made by the mohs surgeon's office. After that first experience, I made sure Dr Wang was available to do the repair after mohs. His work was terrific - hardly visible after healing. More important than the finished work, was his approach. Dr Wang spent time explaining what he was going to do prior to beginning and kept me informed of progress throughout the procedures. He was caring and personable. His bedside manner is just what anyone would want from their physician.

Dr. Wang rotated my scalp to cover a very large Mohs Procedure that a dermatologist had performed. Dr. Wang is not only a great doctor but a really nice person. I appreciate what he did for me and would recommend him to anyone needing this surgery.

Last year I had MOSH surgery on my forehead. And a very large area was removed size measured 4.8 centimeters in diameter and in terms of depth extended into fascia and muscle.
They also removed part of the eyebrow. Dr Wang and his team did an excellent job. I want to thank you for your moral support. They were always in touch with me and responded very quickly, even after a while

Dr. Wang did a spectacular job of closing up after a mohs surgery. It’s about six months later, and you have to look really, really close (like right all up in my face close!) to believe that there was a half-inch hole on the bridge of my nose!

Dr. Wang is the absolute best! He is very knowledgeable, helpful, and patient with answering questions (of which I had many). I had a sizeable scar on my face from a biopsy, and after his quick surgery, it's hardly even noticeable anymore. I was very nervous to get this done, out of fear it could turn out worse, but I am so grateful to Dr. Wang and his team for doing such an amazing job on this! Victoria is also amazing -- she is incredibly kind and intelligent, and she went above and beyond in making herself available for any questions or follow-up concerns I had. Dr. James Wang (otolaryngoligist and plastic surgeon) was referred to me by my dermatologist to perform a thorough cleaning of my right ear which had been coated with dried blood, causing irritation and slight loss of hearing. He was able to clean the ear with his special tools for working in very small spaces and took care of this with ease. While there, I asked him about the possibility of correcting my puffy and enlarged earlobes due to aging and enlargement, plus the now tender 40-yr-old piercings. In both cases Dr. Wang was friendly and approachable, thoughtful and insightful as he offered his advice regarding my ear lobes. Bottom line: I agreed to the plastic surgery for which his nurse, Victoria Klonis RN, handled all the details and answered all of my questions. The procedure was performed at Northwestern Medicine Streeterville in early March. He and his colleague, Dr. Gill, were a wonderful team. Dr. Wang explained every step of the process and I was intrigued as I heard each as they worked together. Afterwards, Dr. Wang was most thoughtful and suggested that I return to the NU Medicine downtown Evanston (where we live) to have the sutures removed, and Victoria made the arrangements. The removal required great delicacy and the work was careful and smooth. Afterwards, Dr. Wang examined the work and was delighted with the results-- as was I: perfectly sized and even, a natural fit for my face. I will return in 3-4 months. In short, I was extremely pleased by Dr. Wang's care and engagement with my needs. I highly recommend Dr. Wang for any type of plastic surgery.
